  Christmas Cheer Program
For any less fortunate families that require assistance for gifts this Christmas season can fill out an application on Monday Nov 28, Tuesday Nov 29, Wednesday Nov 30 or Thursday Dec 1.The hours are from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Salvation Army Church, 8 Argyle St. You need identification for each member of the family. No health cards, baptismal certificates or S.I.N. Residential I.D. is also required. Assistance is limited to families with children 14 and under. For more info please call 613-433-9785.

  Cobden Farmers Christmas Market
The annual Cobden Farmers' Christmas Market will be held on Friday December 2nd from noon until 8 PM and on Saturday December 3rd from 9 AM until 4 PM. Over 100 vendors in three great locations: The Cobden Agricultural Hall; the Farmers' Market building and the Royal Canadian Legion. Refreshments available at all three locations. Bring a non-perishable item for the food bank and receive a ballot to win great prizes.

Christmas Blessing Bags for the homeless! Charlie will be outside of Pick-it-Fence in Renfrew. Friday Dec 2. from 4-6 P.M He will be offering hot chocolate and cookies. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Renfrew County (BBBSRC) is delighted to announce its 2nd annual Curl for Kids' Sake event. Saturday, December 3rd, 2016. Arnprior Curling Club. 15 Galvin Street. Arnprior Ontario, K7S 3H6. Funds raised through this event will benefit at-risk youth supported by BBBSRC's mentoring programs. The following contest is open to those who register and raise a minimum of $100. For every $100 raised, you will receive one entry to win dinner for two in Kanata and tickets to an Ottawa Senators home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadians or the Edmonton Oilers.

  The Renfrew Lions Club Santa Claus Parade
The Renfrew Lions Club Santa Claus Parade will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016. This years theme is "Your Super Hero". The Parade starts at 1:00pm. From Our Lady of Fatima School and ends at the Renfrew Armouries, where hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served to the children and the float participants.   Renfrew Children's/Youth Chorus Christmas Concert
The Renfrew Children's/Youth Chorus present their annual Christmas Concert: "Just Believe" on Sunday, December 4th, 2016 at 3:00pm. Held at the St. Francis Xavier Church Parish Hall. Tickets are $5.00 and available at the door. Come hear our 47 members (ranging in age from 9-16 years old) singing to celebrate the joy of the Christmas season! A Christmas planter raffle will be held and Christmas chocolates will be for sale after the concert.

RCI food drive - Students from RCI will be out door to door in Renfrew and area on Monday December 5 from 5:30 to 8 pm collecting food donations for the Renfrew Food Bank - or - donations can also be dropped off at the Renfrew Fire Hall.

  Chartwell Quail Creek Holiday Bazaar
Come and enjoy some holiday cheer at the Chartwell Quail Creek’s annual Holiday Bazaar. Vendors and residents will be selling everything from Christmas decorations to food, gift ideas and much more. Table are still available for anyone wishing to sell their products, cost is a donation of any amount. All proceeds from table rentals will be donated to the Alzheimer Society.   Snowmobile Driver Training Course
Calabogie and District Snowmobile Club will be holding a snowmobile driver training course Saturday the 10th of December. Snowmobile drivers must be 12 years or older on or before the training date to qualify for an Ontario driver’s license. The Town of Renfrew has declared -December 11th is RINGETTE DAY IN RENFREW in honour of everyone who volunteers their time to The Upper Ottawa Valley Ringette Association and ALL the Girls that play! Come out and watch the UOV Junior "A" Ringette Team compete against well known ADULTS who have been challenged to play a game of Ringette! The theme this year is: "A Story Book Christmas". All parade entrants will receive a coupon for a coffee or hot chocolate and a donut.
