Join us for the Annual Hike for Hospice Renfrew on Sunday May 1st. New this year is a 5km Run to go along with the 3 km Hike. Also NEW this year is the start and finish location, now at Mateway Park.   Cruise Nights in Renfrew County for 2016
The Cruise Nights feature classic cars, trucks and various types of hot rods, and take place weekly starting May through September. This year’s evening cruise nights will include Missy's Fries in Arnprior held every Wednesday starting May 11th, Odi’s Kingburger in Renfrew held every Saturday starting May 7th, The Country Kitchen in Cobden held every second Thursday starting May 12th and Harvey's Restaurant in Pembroke held every second Thursday starting May 5th. Each Cruise Night location features 50/50 draws with proceeds going towards a local charity. Spectators are encouraged to come out and enjoy the opportunity to see such unique vehicles and take part in the draws.

On May 5th the Renfrew Amateur Wrestling Club senior team will be hosting a breakfast for supper fundraiser, proceeds go to help off set costs for tournaments, travel and hotels. Cost is $8.00 adults and $5.00 for 10 yrs and under, supper will be served between 5pm and 8.30pm. Supper includes, pancakes with real maple syrup, sausage, eggs and baked beans. Heads-up! Ontario 55+ Summer Games 2016 are coming to Renfrew County from May 9th to May 27th this year and they will be held in venues all through the County. Events include bowling, euchre tournaments, walking, shuffle board, golf, bridge, carpet bowling, swimming and many more. Find out what's going on, where and when, by checking for information at your local recreation centre or seniors centre, and there will be posters everywhere. We are hosting a trivia night in Support of the Tiedemann family of Eganville. Connie Tiedemann is battling leukaemia and we are raising money to help with the travel and medical costs.   Camp Glissando
Registration is on now! Camp Glissando is a week-long day camp that focuses on fun and learning through music. Campers enjoy singing, playing instruments, crafts and games that teach all levels of musical skills. There are many adventures for campers with and without experience. The Camp is sponsored by Ottawa Valley Music Festival and is run by experienced professional music educators. Camp is held at Trinity St. Andrews Church in Renfrew and runs from 9am to 4pm daily with a Friday showcase concert. Week 1 is for ages 6 - 9yrs August 8 - 12th. Week 2 is for ages 10-12 yrs. We will be hosting a plant, bake and book sale at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Renfrew. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday May 28th at the church which is located at 96 Argyle St. South. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Cobden Farmers' Market presents a fundraising BBQ & Trivia Nite on Saturday, May 28 at 6:00 PM at the Cobden Legion. This is a motorcycle ride to raise funds for Cami Labonte who was born with cerebral palsy,deaf and blind.The money will be used to help out the family with his special needs and care.Both parents are in the military.
