Children's Choir startup
The Children’s Choir of St. George’s Cathedral begins a new term on Friday September 17th from 4:15pm to 5:15pm. The choir provides a fun, friendly, safe environment for boys and girls aged 7 to 13 to sing together. We rehearse on Fridays after school, and sing monthly on Sunday morning, as well as other special services. The fun and fellowship of singing together is augmented by the occasional party and other special events. Once again, the United Way is teaming up with CFB Kingston for the Commando Challenge. In this groundbreaking event, teams battle one another for bragging rights (and a trophy!) as they navigate, climb, and shoot their way through the Base’s confidence course. The Terry Fox Run (30th Anniversary)
When Terry Fox recognized that he would not be able to complete his Marathon of Hope for cancer research in 1980, he bequeathed his mission to his fellow Canadians and The Terry Fox Run began.
In keeping with the approach of its founder, the Run is a volunteer-led event, all-inclusive, non-competitive, with no pre-registration, entry fees or fundraising minimums.
