Today at noon at the Women's Rural Resource Centre, a vigil in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Montreal Massacre will be held. Back in 1989, 14 women were killed and 20 years later, they are still remembered as part of a focus towards violence against women. It will occur two days prior to Sunday December 6th which back in 1991, was declared by the Canadian Government as the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Jennifer Kroh of the Women's Rural Resource Centre says the ceremony will have some guest speakers.
